Dr. Kitipong Promwong is the President of the Office of National Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council. He has played an important role in the development and reform of the national innovation system in Thailand. He is one of the key persons who drafted the concept for the establishment of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. As a policymaker, Dr. Promwong successfully initiated a number of policies and strategic programmes such as the establishment of regional science parks and Food Innopolis, the Company R&D Center -Facilitation Centres, the Talent Mobility Programme, along with other projects aimed at developing the STEM workforce. He has been appointed as a member of various committees related to policy decision making and system reform at the national level. Dr. Promwong holds a Doctoral Degree in Development Studies (Science and Technology Policy) from the University of Strathclyde, UK.
Vinicius Oliveira is the co-founder of Foreseekers, a Digital Economy Hub which offers cutting-edge solutions that bridges the digital economy in China to markets across the world. He has been living in China for 7 years. He has obtained his Master’s degree from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Management Science and Engineering. He has previously worked at Huawei, the telecommunications giant. He is a specialist in the China way of technology innovation and doing business. He has been working in Innovation Consulting in China since 2018, hosting over 500 Investors, C-Level executives, and HNWI from 200+ different organizations, visiting 300+ companies in China. He speaks 4 languages fluently, including Chinese, and is frequently seen on multiple Chinese TV shows, promoting cultural exchange.
Yusef Muhammad is Chief Executive Officer of American Business Television Network. He oversees the company’s valuable portfolio of business and financial news, affiliate stations, and a significant production operation. Mr. Muhammad oversees the daily operations, including production, program planning, marketing, research, digital and communications. As part of his oversight, his objective is to grow viewership, strengthen the channels competitive positioning in the marketplace and grow its worldwide reputation and relevance among investors and entrepreneurs. As the Founder and Chairman of Frequency Communications Inc. He directs investment strategy and decisions, governance and investor relations. Frequency currently manages equity assets under management and oversees a significant portfolio. Mr. Muhammad’s work teaching entrepreneurs and corporate executives in developing business growth strategies have earned him the U.S. SBA Minority Small Business Champion of the Year and Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition.
Raymond Tavares is an Industrial Economist and industrial development officer- Digitalization, Technology and Innovation Department - at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. He has over 20 years interest and work experience in innovation management, and international trade and development projects. Tavares holds a PhD in Industrial Economics from University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, and a Masters on Innovation Management from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. Raymond Tavares is currently managing projects and programmes aiming at assisting UNIDO member states in their inclusion process in the NIR and the future of manufacturing.
First-generation Entrepreneur, Management Advisor, Director, Mentor, Lecturer, International trade & Investment expert with over 30 years of experience across industries like IT, ITeS, Textile, Agro & Food Processing, Finance, Manufacturing, Steel, New & Renewable Energy, Chemical & Fertilizers, and Startups amongst others. He has travelled globally to give speeches in various bilateral/multilateral cooperation conferences, technology cooperation & transfer summits, bilateral trade & investment workshops. He is an angel investor and has founded five businesses across two continents and three sectors (Tech, Life Sciences and Cleantech), with two exits and one growing at scaleup stage. He previously worked in corporate innovation advising some of the largest Tech and Life Sciences corporations alongside Clayton Christensen and other thought leaders. Harvard MBA.
Mr. Supakorn is executive Vice President of Digital Economy Promotion Agency, he has been with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency since 2017 when the agency was established under the Digital development for economy and society Act. He initially led the smart city promotion team within Agency to lead pilot cities under the government initiative. He then led the IoT and digital innovation team to promote Thailand digital valley in Sri Racha city, east of Bangkok. Thailand digital valley provides an ecosystem for digital startups and SMEs to innovate solutions to solve business and industrial problems with digital technologies. Supakorn is currently an executive Vice President, overseeing digital platform promotion and digital innovation departments. Supakorn obtained a PhD in digital image processing from Imperial College, London UK in 2001. He then went on to work as a research scientist at the National Electronics and Computer Technology Centre or NECTEC for 16 years. He was involved in various projects including computer vision systems for medical imaging and traffic management, IT education for marginalised people along the Thai-Myanmar border, and WiMAX revitalisation project in Mae Hong Son, northern part of Thailand.
